Clinical

• Incubation period typically 2 to 7 days.
• Fever, chills, malaise & Headache. High morbidity & mortality. pneumonia
• 12% ICU care, 3% deaths → SARS

Transmission

• Close contact, respiratory droplets or fomite.

Investigations

• Chest x-ray: Acute, atypical pneumonia / ARDS.
• Lab: Neutrophilia, lymphopenia, increased CRP & LDH.
• Serology – ELISA, PCR, Ab after 10 days.
