Autoimmune destruction of intra hepatic bile ducts

common in Females, typically with other autoimmune disorders

Chronic, progressive disorder

damage to bile ducts → bile accumulated in liver, cholestasis (greenish brown) - cirrhosis with plenty of inflammation microscopically around bile duct

Insidious onset of Pruritis & cholestatic jaundice

Markedly high ALP, +ve antimitochondrial Ab.
