newborns can develop cirrhosis from following

• Infections (maternal CMV, Syphilis, Septicemia)
• Extrahepatic biliary atresia.
• Drugs & Toxins
• α1-Antitrypsin deficiency
  • Protease inhibitor (inflam).
  • Mild hepatitis → cirrhosis.
• Cystic fibrosis.
• Idiopathic: Indian child hood cirrhosis.
