  • Normal ≥25
  • Mild 21 – 24
  • Moderate 10 – 20
  • Severe impairment <10
• Note when interpreting score, adjust for education and ethnicity (CALD have alternative cognitive function tests)
  • ↑education may score higher and vice versa.

Additional tests:

• Clock face test - additional test if suspicion cognitive decline / after MMSE
• MoCA - early detection, mild cognitive impairment (better for dementia as tests executive function), includes clock face
