Demographics
- Colon cancer → The incidence rate for colorectal cancer is expected to increase with age, peaking at age group 85–89 years
- Breast cancer → The majority of breast cancer cases, about 80%, occur in women over the age of 50.
- Lung cancer → The occurrence of lung cancer was strongly related to age, with 84% of new lung cancers in males and 80% in females diagnosed in those aged 60 and over
Risk factors
Having any current or past cancer
- Typical primary tumour site: gastrointestinal tract (colon, stomach, pancreas), lungs, and breasts
Clinical Features
- Weakness and tiredness (fatigue)
- Pain in the upper right side of the abdomen or right shoulder
- Severe pain in the abdomen
- Appetite loss and feeling sick (nausea)
