- ~highly infectious for 7-12 days during outbreak
- unlikely to transmit when asymptomatic
Epidemiology
- HSV1 ~80% pop
- HSV2 ~10% pop
- 12% pop have genital HSV
Clinical Findings
- Mostly asymptomatic with outbreaks at same location
