  3. sudden onset, triggered by head movement, no spontaneous nystagmus. → BPPV → Dix Hallpike and Eppley then home
  4. Gradual onset, constant, worse on head movement, spontaneous nystagmus → acute vestibular syndrome (HINTS)
    1. +ve head impulse = vestibular neuritis
    2. -ve head impulse or bidirect nystagmus or vertical skew = stroke </aside>
