P wave: atrial depolarisation Q wave: septal depolarisation base to apex left to right R wave: depolarisation of most of ventricular free wall endo to epicardium, apex to base. atrial repolarisation hidden by this wave S wave: depolarisation of final part of ventricles (near the base) apex to base from myocardium outwards in all directions T wave: ventricular repolarisation epicardium to endocardium apex to base
